Digital Lighting In Action - Pictures and demo clips

What is Digital Lighting? It's simply the cross between Lighting and Video with real time control.

How do you view it? There are many ways to view Digital Lighting, video projectors, plasma monitors, LCD monitors, LED walls. It also can be used in videos for DVDs, and post film editing.

What can Digital Lighting do for your event? Digital Lighting has many aspects to it let's break some down:

- When you've watched special events on TV like the Grammy's, music award shows, or concerts, you've seen that most stages nowadays are designed with an LED wall that covers the back of the stage. Powering most of these LED walls are units called MEDIA servers. Media Servers ARE high-end computers with special software DESIGNED to PROCESS video loops, still images, and camera feeds, either live on the fly, or saved to memory as preset roll-ins for use later. Media Servers and LED walls are a powerful new visual art form.

You may think, "Oh, big deal! My video tech can add effects ahead of time with editing or through their video switchers.". This is true, but, say you want a logo to spin and have a watery effect with a slightly blue background? It may take an hour to design and render that idea to a file. With Digital Lighting we can do that on-the-fly in a few minutes. Plus we can change the effects in real time. Most video switchers do have basic effects, but that''s all they are, basic effects. Digital Lighting is like a Grand Prix race car competing against a turtle.

-With Digital Lighting, we can take multiple image sources and combine them together anyway you like in Real Time. (Kind of like power point).

-We can also do video blending, making a wide screen effect.

-Digital Lighting can be used for basic logo projecting and the image does not have to be projected onto a screen, it can be projected onto most any surface. Examples: tents, walls, buildings, back drops, ect.

- Digital Lighting can also place video overlays and resize them, meaning we can have the full screen be a background image or effect, then we can layer different video images on to the background and resize them. The finished look could be one side of the screen has I-mag and the other a video loop while the background is something else. The possibilities are endless.

-Your imagination is the limit on what Digital Lighting can do for your next event.
